A initial meeting is set up with the client to discuss clients needs, wants, desires and budget for the project. Broad concepts are discussed. Clients ideas and aspirations | imagery are shared which helps to establish the basis of the design​.
To begin, we visit site with you to determine your lifestyle, desires, vision budget and schedule. Quick diagrams are produced which test the site against programatic requirements, consideration for views, functions, circulation and overall structure is established.

Once you hire us, we start by going back to the site, documenting the site dimensionally, inputing the data into in AUTOCAD, combining existing building and site data to prepare an accurate dimensional base plan, We document the entire site, including the interior layout to understand internal views and relationship between indoor and outdoor environments.

Once the structural plan is approved and all project components and site programing is completed, we will begin to study the site in three dimensions to insure that all the landscape elements are working in harmony with each other.

In order to communicate a clear understanding of the design intent it is critical to establish a roadmap for the built work. Extensive documentation is prepared which identifies the entire built environment to scale. The Scaled plan indicates all critical dimensions as well as call outs of all critical design components.

Upon approval of the design strategy CBLD will prepare an Indication of Probable Costs, this document will line item all costs including supervision, supply and installation of all hards and softscape materials

On site construction begins with our team of highly skilled sub-contractors which CBLD manages. Services include: Demolition of existing patios, and concrete work, soil prep, irrigation, lighting, hardscape and softscape installation.

We are often asked to stick around and help our clients select furniture, and help them with their maintenance. But once we have the garden completed to client's satisfaction, it is time to enjoy your new garden!
